About Three Chimneys Trakehners:
|
 |
|
I last
bred horses over 30 years ago, but due to family commitments
and running another business Mr Bleep was sadly my
last foal.
After making the decision to start breeding again I had assumed I would
continue to follow the thoroughbred line as before, until fate took
a hand and led me to Milly, my first Trakehner mare, on viewing her I
instantly knew she had the X-factor and was the
one to re-kindle my enthusiasm for breeding. Her movements
were breathtaking and with a foal at her side she was a proven breeder.
One month later she arrived at the farm weaned from her foal, she instantly
turned the heads of my now grown up children and grand children with
her good looks and amazing character.

We soon found a Stallion for her, where again fate took charge. After finding
the Stallion online and contacting the stud, we were blown away with
how helpful they were, Milly visited the Holme Park Stud and
was put to the fabulous Stallion Holme
Park Krug,
at this time I was still discovering what great bloodlines she had
including
Arogono and Flaneur.
After spending her time at the stud Susan Attew suggested we should grade
Milly at the annual fraternity show in September, with limited knowledge
of the Trakehner world Susan took us under her wing and with her and her
wonderful staff's help, my daughter and I took Milly to the grading show,
we were over the moon when she Graded with 52.5 and we thoroughly enjoyed
the experience.
I have since bought another mare, Holme Grove Gestadt, who is a super
little Character, she is daughter of Holme
Grove Prokofiev and I am planning to put her in foal in the
spring to Holme
Park Krug. Until then Gestadt will
be bought back into work as she has not been ridden for two years due to
an
injury
she
sustained
as
a 6
year
old. She is very young at heart, but a quick learner.
